The competition sponsors, O’Sullivan Concept Salons were responsible for all the beauty styling of the girls on the day of the shoot in London.
Jackie O’Sullivan, along with Lynne Wallis and Jo Dawson were responsible for a creating a signature hairstyle and look for each of the girls, transforming them into models.
Here is their guide for how they created four different looks for four natural beauties. Makeup artist Victoria Hodge completed the look.
Jackie styles Jessica, whose chestnut hair and striking blue eyes means she’s a real natural beauty. She says, “I wanted to create a wilder look keeping it casual with a hint of glam. I blow-dried a soft sweeping fringe with both large and small curls to create texture.”
Soft-pink blush with a bubblegum pink lipgloss completes a vibrant look.
Lynne styles both Jemma and Alicia.
“Jemma’s look is very soft and flowing. We added body and smoothed the ends to create a soft texture for an innocent image.”
Match that with Victoria’s classic makeup look, complete with red lips and it’s a stylish combo.
Alicia’s look is really sexy, says Lynne. “We gave her tight bouncy curls for texture adding great volume”. Her makeup emphasised her deep eyes and a soft dewy complexion brings out her natural beauty.
Jo wanted to give Shahira and old school glam makeover. “We created big curls for sexy hair, plenty of volume and bounce.”
Her dark hair is matched beautifully with her flawless pale skin and huge eyes so it was only a little blush, gloss and eye shadow to complete the look.
