Dream Girl’s New Face – behind the makeover

Jessica's Glamorous Makeover
It was back in October when Dream Girl unveiled our New Face, Jessica Burton.

Fresh, stylish and beautiful she embodies everything we think a Dream Girl should be and she’s been doing a great job being the face of our brand.

Jessica was among four girls shortlisted to become the New Face and was eventually voted the winner in a Facebook Poll. Before the final winner was selected and unveiled at Salon International in the autumn, each girl had a makeover. On Dream Girl’s YouTube Channel you can watch the winner’s transformation.

Working alongside our partners and the competition sponsors O’Sullivan Concept Salons, each aspiring model had a day of pampering where their hair was groomed and their makeup rejuvenated to create a look.

Fresh-faced with luscious long locks we knew we wanted to give Jessica a glamorous makeover.

Stylist Jackie from O’Sullivan Concept Salons began by selected the Hair Extensions she would use to create the look. A glam look needs the wow factor and volumised hair with soft curls does the trick. If your hair is too fine or flat, or you just need a little bit of length then perhaps opting for Hair extensions yourself will do the trick.

Jackie wanted a natural look so chose a colour as close to Jessica’s as possible. This is easy to do with Dream Girl as you can use our Colour Comparator which shows a range of colours and makes it easier to find one that matches your shade.

Jessica’s hair was washed and prepped, ready for the Hair Extensions to be added. It has to be tangle free. Jackie used glue to fix them. Here’s a top tip for anyone wanting to fit Dream Girl Hair Extensions; the glue dries in around ten seconds but you have to make sure each weft is fitted in the right place, otherwise it may create bumps. The finish won’t be even and it won’t look natural.

Once all the Hair Extensions were fitted, Jackie used a medium sized brush to blow dry the hair. This is ideal as it helps create even more volume and soft waves. You can watch the film on Dream Girl’s You Tube Channel to show how the look was re-created. Styling with a side-swept fringe finishes a glam look that’s hot from high street to dance floor, office to cocktail bar.
