Match your hair with your eyes

6 Jul

This season it’s all about the eyes.

Bright, sparkling eye-shadow, adding colour to the face means the eyes are the focal point of makeup this summer.

It’s a striking style, but it means you need to think about the rest of your look.

Here Dream Girl offers you a guide to matching your eyes and your hair.

First to recreate the striking eye look that’s everywhere right now. It’s a playful style that is really eye-catching. Choose one of Dream Girl’s Duo Eyeshadow Collection. Midnight Dream Girl offers a indigo blue and soft pink.

Add a little face powder to remove any grease and provide a base for the eyelid. First begin with one shade – either will do. Cover your eyelid from the corner of your eye across to the brow. Make sure the shade is even.

Take a brush or applicator and select the second shade. Contrast is key so begin just above the ridge at the top of your eyelid, where it stars to curve into the brow. Add the second shade as you would a highlighter.

Finish with eye-liner to emphasise the shape of your eyes and you’re ready to go.

For your hair you want a style that will compliment, but not take over your eyes. If you have a fringe then make sure it’s swept back and not covering your makeup. Opt for either an updo, using a pony tail extension from Dream Girl, so you can add length to your own hair. Either leave the pony tail loose, or tie up into a bun.

If you want to wear hair long, use Clip N’Go Hair Extensions to add volume and length. Wear hair in a centre parting and use to frame the face.

If you’re going for an eye-catching make-up style you want hair to work with the style, not fight for attention. Complimentary hairstyles like this will help your eyes do the talking.
