What’s your signature hairstyle?

30 Nov

There are many of us who like to change our hairstyles as often as the seasons.

Yet Dream Girl knows there are just as many who have a signature style. You find a hair style you like and you stick to it. It suits you, it defines you, in some ways. It’s part of your personality.

We’re not alone. A-listers up and down every red carpet in the land can rock a signature style.

Here are some of our favourites along with tips of how you can recreate them yourself.

Jessica Biel, Wavy long hair with fringe

It’s a signature do that works just as well in-front of the paparazzi and getting the weekly shop. Simple, easy glam that is feminine and funky; a rare combination. Jessica works it up or down so keeps hair simple and draws attention to her eyes with a flick of eyeliner, or she side sweeps the fringe and coaxes those waves to give more texture.

If you want to recreate this look then opt for 100% human hair extensions to add length and volume. Use Dream Girl’s Colour Comparator to find a colour that matches your own as closely as possible. Highlights and lowlights can help you update the look through different times of the year and to add depth.

For those who don’t want to commit to the chop then a Velma Fringe Hair Piece clips neatly onto your own natural hair and adds a blunt look. A fringe is high maintenance and can be tough to look after week in and week out.

Jessica Alba, Slicked side parting with pony

Not everyone has Jessica Alba’s stunning bone structure and striking eyes. We wish. But if you can carry it off this is an ideal style to let you face do the talking. It works with an androgynous look with a feminine twist. Both in up-dos and with a long ponytail, Jessica Alba uses this style to bring in the right amount of glam but as well to be something eye-catching and a signature look.

To recreate part hair on one side. It should be quite far over, begin the parting over one eye and use a comb to create a straight line. Use a serum to smooth hair down and to add shine. The rest of the hair can either be style into an up-do or, for the easiest look, a long side ponytail. This is a good nod to a current trend. If you haven’t got the length then simply use a Pony Tail extension from Dream Girl. Using 100% human hair these look natural and clip easily over your own natural hair.

Dita von Teese, 40s glamour

Dita von Teese’s signature hair style is the same from head to toe. 40s glamour oozes from every pore. An iconic hairstyle is the crowning glory. To recreate it you need not feel you have to only wear outfits with a mid-calf skirt, nipped in waist and court shoes. 40s glam is beautiful but it isn’t for everyone. Yet this season’s prim, geeky style is crying out for a neatly styled victory roll and a chunky cardigan is matched perfectly with a Marcel Wave.

It is not low maintenance though. While there are videos online helping you try a 40s style out for yourself it can be tricky to master. Therefore it is much easier to use a full 100% human hair wig, perhaps something from our Chic Collection. Create the style on the wig and then wear as and when you need to, helping you to adopt a signature style within minutes.
