“Windy, With A Touch Of Pastel” – 2018 Colour Trend Forecast

4 Jan

The past few years have been huge in the colour market when it comes to consumers being more daring with their hues, and this doesn’t look like its dying down anytime soon! Hairdresser’s Journal – one of the leading publications for hairdressing professionals, have named Pastelage one of their Big 5 Techniques in 2018 when it comes to colour, along with the predicted favourite hues, including – Intense Copper, Blonde/ Grey hybrid, Atomic Blonde, Blueberry Crush, Vintage Rose and Mahogany Violet.

Pastelage is a combination of two of the biggest colour related features of 2017 – Balayage and pastel toned hair, with this prediction it doesn’t seem like any of them are going anywhere soon! Balayage is the hair trend that involves painting colour through the ends of the hair to create a natural, sun-kissed finish. It’s a look that is still prominent and has been rocked by your favourite celebs such as Rhianna, Jessica Biel and Halle Berry over the past few years.

Vibrant hues have become a regular in our culture, and we’re loving it – so why not give Pastalage a go?

Dream Girl’s hair extensions are available in over 80 colours! Our baby pink and snow-white shades are the perfect base for your Pastalage dreams, and can give you that added length or volume to step your hair game to another level!

L’Oreal Professionnel colour ambassador Jack Howard says, ‘We’re seeing more and more women come into the salon asking for vibrant and colourful shades”. The colour trend is still blowing up with no signs of slowing down and we’re not sure we want it to!
